ARTIST'S STATEMENT
The emotional entity is the focus of my creative exploration. To capture the vignette of human interaction and portray the spirit therein is my challenge.
The look shared by lovers, the tenderness between child and mother, the warm glow of friendship ... this juice of human interaction is my paint and the shapes and shades of the earth my canvas. layerings of acrylic washes and infusions of mixed media are my preferred techniques.
The haunting beauty of the Kootenays is the well of my inspiration, and my travels to exotic environments throughout the world have enhanced the colours of my visual palette.
